Designing your menus around these double sided wonders is easy:
Work out what size your menu is - if you've got lots of options, our A5 menus may only be an option if you split your menus into several sections or have a main menu and other laminated menus.
You should choose the most used menu to be in the stand, as that's the one that's probably going to be handled the most.
If at all possible however, you should condense your menu down onto one size.
Our 120mm sized menus are basically designed to give you a small space on both sides to display a menu - this is often good for strategic placement at bars, on café bunkers or could be used to contain specials and delivered with drinks.
Our A5 menus are designed to give about double the space of our 120mm, giving you room for an average menu - or a larger drinks list. A5 menus usually hold between 20 and 40 items, depending on your layouts. A5 is about the same size as an average paperback.
A4 menus are our biggest size and allow you to display a full menu - it's about the size of an average letter, or standard printed page from your printer. You can display a wide range of items on a menu this size, depending on your design and needs.
If one side of your menu was previously your logo or a full page design representing your company or restraint, you may want to consider reducing it in size - menu card holders create valuable real estate that should be focussed on giving your diners the best choice and options.
Choosing to display your menu on both sides is a bold business move if you've previously had simple laminated menus, but it does give you the opportunity to display more of your offerings without short changing your customer.
Be sure to put PTO. On both sides of the menu, especially if you've changed from having a one-sided menu to a two sided one.
Using visual cues throughout the 'flow' of your menu can also help your clients understand that there are two sides to your menu.
Make sure your text is legible and laminate it before sticking it in our menu holders - they are designed to keep your papers clean, laminating will insure a longer life, and clearer text - if you have to wipe them clean, you'll find that the menus are double protected.
Don't use stickers to change the prices on the front of the plastic, in front of the menu - instead change the menus themselves, or use the stickers on your laminated menu.
